Peristaltic pumps offer some benefits that make it perfect for solving some pesky pump problems. They use a rotating wheel that pumps small doses of fluids or gases through a flexible tube, without any valves, so that few of the pump parts are “wetted,” or make contact with the fluid that you’re pumping.
What makes a peristaltic pump different?
Peristaltic pumps are excellent for moving very small doses of fluid into low-pressure systems; very “dirty” or high-particulate fluids, or fluids containing trapped gases; easy priming; and can move fluids higher above ground than most other types of pumps. The Blue-White peristaltic pumps that we stock offer the added feature of their patented Tube Failure Detection system to detect a failed tube, and to relay that information to an alarm system when possible.
